Accommodations – Corona
During your stay at Flying Academy Corona, we’ll assist you with housing according to your preferences within reach of our flight school.
Shared Room Rates

Fees & Requirements – Corona
- • FAA Verification Letter: Free of charge.
- • PPL Convalidation: Approx. $200 USD (paid directly when meeting the FAA examiner; not included).
- • Checkout with CFI: Typically 2 hours ground + 2 hours dual; CFI rate $90/hour (training time billed as taken).
- • Aircraft Insurance: Not included—added to every flight hour: $9/hr (Cessna 152) or $12/hr (Cessna 172).
- • Pilot Liability Insurance (mandatory): 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 months at $60 / $80 / $90 / $100 respectively (not included).
- • Fuel Surcharge: Aircraft prices may be adjusted based on fuel price changes during training. Any surcharge is finalized after graduation according to the actual fuel prices over your training period.
Accommodation Offer – Corona
- • Option A (100-hrs): 3 weeks free + 2 weeks self-paid If accommodation is unavailable at arrival, you’ll receive a $500 credit (usable toward your training program) & complimentary airport pick-up & drop-off.
- • Option B (50-hrs): 2 weeks free + 1 week self-paid If accommodation is unavailable at arrival, you’ll receive a $250 credit (usable toward your training program) & complimentary airport pick-up & drop-off.

Fees & Requirements – Miami
- • FAA Verification letter free of charge.
- • PPL Convalidation fee when meeting the FAA examiner is around $200 USD, not included.
- • Checkout flight with CFI is needed, typically will take 2 hrs ground and 2 hrs dual flight. CFI charge is $69 an hour.
- • Airplane Insurance is not included. $9/Hr – Cessna 152 or $12/Hr – Cessna 172, it will be added to every hour flown.
- • Pilot Liability Insurance 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, or 12 months priced at $60, $80, $90, $100 respectively, mandatory, not included.
- • A fuel surcharge can increase the price of an aircraft. It all depends on the development of fuel prices during training. The final billing of this fee will be calculated after graduation according to the current fuel prices during the training period.
Accommodation Offer – Miami
- • 3 weeks of free accommodation and 2 weeks paid ($500) or credit of $500: If there are no vacancies in the accommodation at the time of your arrival, you will obtain a credit equivalent to the amount of $500, to be used in your training program, or airport pick up and drop off.
- • 2 weeks of free accommodation and 1 weeks paid ($250) or credit of $250: If there are no vacancies in the accommodation at the time of your arrival, you will obtain a credit equivalent to the amount of $250, to be used in your training program, or airport pick up and drop off.
Transportation
We provide convenient transportation options to help you get around during your training.
Transportation Options
If you need to get from point A to point B we offer scooters for you to travel around campus and provide pick up/drop off services.
BONUS: We provide free pick up and drop off from the airport to the accommodation for free with our 100hr and 50hr package.
IACRA – FAA License Conversion
If you hold a foreign Pilot’s License then you will have to do the FAA conversion. Below are the steps on how to proceed with your conversion.

Insurance Requirements
There are 2 types of insurance required for pilots flying with Flying Academy.
Aircraft Coverage Insurance
The Aircraft Liability Insurance is covered by Insurance Surcharge applicable per flight hour at the following rates:
Rates
The insurance policy is valid in the contiguous United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, etc.) and the Islands of the Bahamas.
Pilot Liability Insurance
Pilot Liability Insurance is your personal insurance set up for a certain period of time to cover the liability for damage caused accidentally to borrowed aircraft. You need this insurance when you fly as a Pilot in Command, including solo flights during PPL training.

Information You Need to Know
Before Flight Reliability
Once you have completed the IACRA registration, you will have a flight review with our chief Instructor to demonstrate your skills both in flight and ground. The minimum requirements are 1 hr of ground and 3 hours of flight, but it could differ depending on your proficiency. However, we do offer a 10 hour Online course which you could sign up for before your arrival.
Medical Examination
All students must hold a medical certificate and must have it in their personal possession at all times when exercising the privileges for which they are licensed. For TB you can hold a Valid Foreign medical certificate or if you choose to hold an FAA, more information can be provided to you at the time of registration.
Registration Requirements
The documents required at the time of arrival are as follows:

- Foreign License letter for conversion- VALID
