PPL Online Prep Theory Exam pass ≥ 70% at FAA center

Flight Training (minima)

  • ≥ 40 total hours under FAR 61 (incl. ≥ 10 solo).
  • Solo XC > 50 NM and another XC of 100 NM.
  • One night cross-country (dual) + ≥ 3 hrs night.
  • ≥ 3 hrs instrument training.

Entry Requirements

  • Age: 16 to solo, 17 for license.
  • Medical: FAA Class III or higher.
  • English Proficiency.
  • No prior flight time required.
FAA IFR

Instrument Rating

Course Description

  • ≥ 50 hours cross-country PIC (≥ 10 hrs in airplane).
  • ≥ 40 hours instrument time (≥ 15 hrs with instrument-airplane instructor).

  • Medical: FAA Class III or higher.
  • Hold a PPL.
FAA CPL

Commercial Pilot License

Course Description

  • Age ≥ 18; Medical: FAA Class II (I or III acceptable as noted).
  • English proficiency; pass CPL knowledge test; hold PPL.
