AEROBATIC PILOT ATTARI.

[:en]It’s been my passion since I was a child. It just kept on growing until the day I was sure that yes this is the only thing that I would like to do, and here I am. At Flying Academy right now!

I started flying with the flight simulator at the beginning, my first fly as an aerobatic experience was something that I would never forget, you are used to straight and level flight, but this one is just inverted. You literally, do everything that is against the law, you are not allowed to spin on a normal aircraft and I am doing spins legally.
Europe is a massive area, but the Czech Republic (Prague) (Brno) is in the middle of it, so you can basically travel internationally as a pilot in command which is something different as a pilot’s perspective and actually when you are an amateur too, it’s been like an amazing experience for me to fly to Germany, and I have been planning myself to go to Austria too, the access is much easier than other countries.
Stop thinking and come over, you need to come over and see how things are going in this academy, it’s different and it’s much more interesting. See you here.

Interview with pilot Hyunsum Sim from South Korea

[:en]

Become a pilot in an airline company… A pilot! Oh My God. That was my dream since I was a kid.

My name is Hyunsum Sim, I’m from South Korea, I was living in Seoul. The capital city of Korea.
And right now I’m doing the FAA PPL course in the Flying Academy Miami.

At some point in my life, I felt like, I was, you know, in a slump, so I asked myself if I am happy with what I’m doing now? why I’m doing this job? Is this, the job I want to do for the next 20 or 30 years in my life? My answer was NO! Then why should I do it? What do I want to do now? I want to do something professional and then I found out that pilots are so professional, it was not only my dream but also it was a well-paid job and the uniform looks great.

Why I chose Flying Academy Miami?
The first reason was: The FAA license can be easily converted anywhere, so that’s a really good advantage. Second reason was the weather: The weather in Miami, it’s really perfect, when I first arrived here many people said, you know, Miami is the perfect place to fly and It didn’t take that much time to understand what they say it, here, the sky is so blue and sunny, the view from the sky is perfect. And the third reason was: When I was looking for the proper flight school in South Korea (and I contacted many schools, really many schools) but only Flying Academy gave me the fastest response with complete information. So I say okay, I can see that I can trust this school.
Get in touch with Flying Academy.

To be honest, it is just quite different from my dream, the comfort airliner plane is quite small. That’s only for two people and it is very sensitive when the wind pushes our airplane it moves it like from right to left and up and down. Oh my God, it’s quite different from what I thought but every time that I start to control the airplane, I get more excited, Oh my God, it’s really exciting, I want to do it more and more and don’t to be afraid. Always the first step is the most difficult thing but as soon as you take the first step, you will keep going through all of your courses, so don’t be afraid, just do it, I promise it is a rewarding career.
Do it now or never!

¡Hazlo ahora o nunca![:]

“Sky is not the limit but it is the beginning for me” – Jose.

[:en]

I was almost crying when I was taking off for the first time when I was doing my solo, hey Jose come on you can not cry here at this moment, that was good, I like to tell that story.

Hello Everyone, My name is Jose Vaca,  I’m from Colombia I’m 26 years old, I’m doing my from FAA 0 to CPL, my private pilot course, at Flying Academy Miami.
Since I was a kid I was always dreaming to travel all around the world, and I think it is not a better way to do it, that being in the cockpit when you are in the aircraft.
Some people are dreaming just to go to the airlines, but my real dream is going to the airspace, so I know that I have to be in the airlines from 5 to 10 years, and then I can apply to the NASA, so, sky is not the limit but it is the beginning for me.

What I think makes a pilot the best pilot, is that the pilot is always learning, when you feel that you already have learned everything you find another thing and another thing.
I always like to say that anyone can learn how to fly, but, only the people that has nerves of steel, is able to go to the airlines, because we are constantly training for emergencies like if we have radios broken, or if an engine pump fails, or in the worse case scenario, that the engine lost, you have to fly the plane safely, you can drive your car and it is still in the ground, but if you lost the engine in the air, you are the only one that can save your own life, so the best pilot is the one that is always learning how to succeed when something happens on the air.

What I like the most about Flying Academy, is that they know what they are doing, you just feel like you are in the airlines, they set goals for professionalism, they have high standards of maintenance, so whenever you are going to fly you know that the airplane is in airworthy conditions, people in front desks, administrative people, oh, what I like the most is, instructors, are the best, yeah they are friendly with you, they know what are they talking about, they are amazing instructors here, and the student community here is all over the world. Normally on the weekends here in Miami, I come to school, yeah, for real you have to study a lot.

The best advice that I can give to someone that is thinking to become a pilot, first of all, speak english, like I know some friends of mine that had came to the school, but they dont really speak good english, so they spent more of the time trying to translate things, and no concentrating in what the lection is about, the second thing is go flying before coming here, like, you have to experience for yourself, if you like how it feels, when you are doing some maneuvers, I have some friends, that have trown up, because you are experiencing some G’s in your stomach, in your body and as I said before it is not something for everyone, you have to have nerves of steel, you have to really like it, to know, that you wanna be a pilot,  it is not fancy that, hey I have the uniform, I look nice, I know that everyone is going to love me, but if you dont like to plan your flight plan, if you dont like to speak to ATC, if you dont like to follow procedures, if you dont like to memorize, what are you going to do when you have an emergency? don’t do it!
Once again you have to study a lot in aviation, it is not something fancy, you have to study a lot, in fact, it is hard work and dedication what gives you wings.

@VacowJimenez[:tr]

He gave me his wings, and as little kid, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world!

[:en]My name is Norbert Santana, I’m from the Dominican Republic, and I’m currently taking the instrument rating course here at Flying Academy L.A.
“I took a trip from the Dominican Republic to Texas when I was back 6 years old for the first time coming to the US, and the pilot of the company that I flew with, he gave me his wings and as a little kid, I thought it was the coolest thing on the world, later on, I got to see what the inside of a cockpit looks like, and that’s why kind of make me wanna get into aviation”.
Get in touch with Flying Academy.

“There is a lot of schools that unfortunately not paid attention to the students and what their needs are, and, you know you go in the class and it is almost as they see you as a tuition, they don’t see you as a real person, trying to learn and gain experience, they are moving you all around in your schedule and stuff like that. Here at Flying Academy,  every time that I need to take a flight is there, I just need to go in, there is no problem, and they really make me feel like, these people are trying to help me evolve my pilot career and that’s number one for me”.

What would you say to a student that just joined Flying Academy?
“I will say you made de right choice, it is absolutely the funniest thing that you can do, with your clothes on! it’s definitely great, it takes a lot of hard work, but, what doesn’t? And I recommend you just calm down, just take a flight, just one flight and see what it is like, and you will know if it is for you or not, and the most people, you know, they really go crazy, so that’s all I can say, just come and try out”.

Flying Academy creates a multicultural learning environment with students from all over the world.

Gustavo's Interview, Flying Academy's Student and now Interjet's First Officer in Mexico. Sukhoi Superjet 100.

[:en]We just had the opportunity to interview one of our former students, Gustavo Angeles from Mexico who nowadays is a First Officer at Interjet, he shared with us how was his experience in our course from Zero hours to Commercial.
https://flyingacademy.com/pilot-training/ab-initio-faa/faa-0-cpl/
Q. Before arriving at Flying Academy, what were my concerns and fears?
Gustavo: After talking it with my family and once it became a fact that I was going to study in a school in the United States, my main fears naturally were, the language and the fact that I did not know anyone in the city. As expected, when I arrived for the first time I felt melancholy and a little scared, because in the end, I was in a foreign country, away from my family and friends, and without knowing for sure what it was waiting for me. Despite feeling enthusiastic about the fact that I was going to learn to fly, it was impossible for me not to feel uncertainty, mixed feelings and why not, a little panic.

Q. What were your expectations about Flying Academy, and were those exceeded or not?
Gustavo: To tell the truth, my first expectations were very simple; learn to fly, get my commercial license and return to Mexico to find work. However, what I had to live was incredibly special, because not only did I achieve what I expected, but it also brought me a collection of memories and adventures that will always live inside me. Flying Academy was not only an aviation school for me, but it was also a life camp. Thanks to its international program, I was able to meet people from literally around the world. People who shared a taste for aviation and who came just like me, without knowing anyone and wanting to live a new experience. For the same reason, it did not take more than three days to find a new family in a foreign country. So yes, my expectations were exceeded and by far.
Q. How was your process in Flying Academy, did you like it, was it easy?
Gustavo: My passing through Flying Academy was a life adventure. Everything that I had to live helped me to break schemes and to improve myself as I had never done before. From overcoming the traditional language barrier to being independent in every way, from learning to land an airplane to do a solo cross – country. From something so scary as to how to do a check ride with an FAA examiner to something as rewarding as having a beer and eating a good burger after a long day of study. Flying Academy was a place that opened the doors to a new world and with the help of each one of its instructors and staff members, they helped me to be a better pilot. Did I like? I loved it.It was easy? Definitely not. It was not easy, but it was worth one hundred percent. And in fact, it was because it was not easy, that I learned everything I learned. Nothing worthwhile comes easily.

Q. What did you like most about Flying Academy?
Gustavo: There were several things that I take from my stay at Flying Academy. First of all, the fact that I learned to do something I love; FLY. Second, the opportunities that the school gave me to make my schedule in my own way and how much they helped me to achieve my goals. Thanks to the flexibility they offered me, I was able to finish the program from zero to commercial with multi-engine in 10 months. Third, the friendships I did. I can say without the slightest fear of being wrong, that while I was in Miami, I never felt lonely, sad or eager to return to my home. Quite the opposite. I lived the experience as best as I could and managed to return to Mexico with my head held high and proud of my achievements.
Q. How was the process of validation in Mexico?
Gustavo: Tedious. However, that is just a bad thing that afflicts the institutions of my country and is the same for everyone. In Mexico, you can take longer to validate than you take to finish the training. However, I would not change my experience at Flying Academy for anything in the world, so if I had to choose again, I would choose to study a thousand times in the United States.
Q. How was the transition to an airline?
Gustavo: Maybe the most challenging thing I’ve done in my life. No doubt flying a commercial airplane on an airline like Interjet is challenging but simply rewarding. The admission process was long (it took around 5 months) but it was worth every minute of waiting. I had the opportunity to take the training of the Sukhoi Superjet 100, a Russian production plane that is simply beautiful. I am currently flying that plane and I could not be more grateful to have the opportunity to fly it. My father has always told me that “an airplane is an airplane and flying is flying. An aviator makes his path flying, and the more planes he or she fly, the better he/she become” For this reason, I am very grateful for the blessing of having a job, the most beautiful work, and being able to enjoy it flight by flight.

Q. Would you recommend Flying Academy as the first option?
Gustavo: Definitely yes! As I mentioned earlier, Flying Academy helped me develop the skills I needed to achieve my entry into the world of work. The medium of aviation is fantastic because it is fun and challenging at the same time. Each flight is different, regardless of whether you have done it before. You have to study a lot, but it’s worth it when you get to sit in a jet cabin more than thirty thousand feet high. In my opinion, Flying Academy has all the means to help future pilots develop fully in this aviation world. https://flyingacademy.com/pilot-training/ab-initio-faa/faa-0-cpl/

Both for the quality of its instructors, its facilities, the airport in which they are located (KTMB), the internationality of their students, the warmth of their staff and above all, the confidence they make you feel when you fly.

Gustavo: A decir verdad, mis primeras expectativas eran muy simples; aprender a volar, sacar mi licencia comercial y regresar a México a buscar trabajo.
¿Me gustó?

https://flyingacademy.com/pilot-training/ab-initio-faa/faa-0-cpl/

Time building in USA – Experience of Martin

[:en]Hi, my name is Martin. I am a 25-year-old private pilot and former glider pilot from Aeroclub Liberec. I have had a PPL license for a year and a half. As all pilots in module training, I faced the same question of how will I fly my time building? How will I use this time in the most efficient way? First, I started with cross-country navigation flights. After my endorsement to the fantastic tail-drag Z-226, I received the aerotowing license.[:es]Hola mi nombre es Martin.
